Don't forget that communication is a two way street! Ask questions to spark conversation, not to interrogate; listen to your student's answer before you respond, and be sure to validate their feelings. Post practice conversations can help you help your child to keep the big picture in mind while also teaching life lessons, but don't forget that having fun is an important part of gymnastics!
