XCEL TEAM
Our competative girls team members grow as people and as athletes - while constantly working toward their goals as gymnasts, they also gain valuable leadership skills, learn about good sportsmanship, and develop lifelong friendships with their teammates. KATZ Team members participate in the USA Gymnastics sanctioned Xcel program where they get the opportunity to meet and compete against gymnasts from all over the state of New Mexico and sometimes even beyond our state's borders!

Interested in competing?
Gymnastics is a little different than most other sports - rather than being able to participate in competition from the beginning, you must first have a solid set skill base to build upon. This skill base is determined by USA Gymnastics and is in place to help prevent injury and ensure that our athletes have fun, feel successful, and stay safe during competition.

Because of this, the KATZ Xcel Team does not have open enrollment or sign ups. Our coaches work together to develop athletes with the skills needed to compete and move individual students up in levels as they progress in the sport. Our team coach then invites students who are or might be ready to try out for our team each summer.
